DeSoto State Park

Located on Lookout Mountain, DeSoto State Park features over 25 miles of wooded hiking trails, as well as over 11 miles of mountain biking trails. Not to mention beautiful river views, several seasonal waterfalls, and some beautiful geology.

Lake Guntersville Resort State Park

With an amazing restaurant, some great rental cabins, and an outstanding restaurant, Lake Guntersville Resort is upscale for a park! But don’t overlook the main attraction: the lake itself, with all the usual lakeside activities, and beautiful wooded campgrounds ringing the lake.

Land Trust of North Alabama

The first land trust in Alabama, this collection of four nature preserves seeks to save Alabama’s greenspace and fresh water resources. With over 45 miles of public trails through the North Alabama woods, this park is truly a treasure.
